Project Description

HKADC Multi Project Grant Scheme

舞台美學工作坊 08-09

Derived from the ancient Greek “skene” (scene) and “grapho” (description), “Scenography” denotes a description or record of a scene, stage or space. The key concept is the relationship between people and space. Applied to the theatre, it is about the utilisation of all the creative elements of the stage, including setting, wardrobe, lighting, images, colour, scent, sound.

In this workshop, all stage elements – Text, setting, lighting, sound, objects, image and directing – will be discussed from a scenographic perspective.
