2009 Community Cultural Ambassador

Tin Shui Wai Drama Hub-Hong Kong Stories

In response to last year’s “Tin Shui Wai in Construction” programme, this year “Tin Shui Wai Drama Hub” brings Hong Kong stories to Tin Shui Wai. Interlacing stories from different walks of life with carnival atmosphere, citizens in Tin Shui Wai can enjoy the festivities and at the same time be inspired by the stories.

By observation and research, students dig into differnet parts of Hong Kong and write their creative stories. The stories are then passed to the students of Part 2 – “1 + 4 Cell Group” Acting Workshop to rehearse and perform. We believe that through understanding the city where they live in, their sense of belongings can be boosted up.

Date: Every Saturday from 11.4 to 11.7.2009 (except 18.4 and 4.7.2009)

Fee:$264* (12 lessons, 2.5hrs per lesson)

Students of “1 + 4 Cell Group” are guided by professional tutors in a mode of one-to-four training group. They study and evolve the stories which Part 1 students have made and prepare themselves for the perfomrance in the fun fair.

Fun Fair is the finale of the “Tin Shui Wai Drama Hub” programme. It is held in Tin Shui Wai. All the programmes are free of charge.
Programmes

1.Performance
9 short plays written by “Hong Kong Stories” Creative Writing Workshop are performed by students of “1 + 4 Cell Group” Acting Workshop. They are performed rotatingly in three black box theatres in the Fun Fair. Plays are ranged from comedy to satire which give a taste of Hong Kong living style.

2. Stall and Games
We invite several social and art organizations to set up information counters and game stalls to share and to extend social resources.

3. Street artists
Street artists are invited to perform in the Fun Fair, spreading arts and happiness to the public.
