As rat infestation breaks out, people took a bold stroke using the natural enemies of rats — street cats — to wipe them out. But what follows is a disaster!
The relationship between humans and cats changed drastically as the public split into opposition: cat lovers stand with the cats, while opponents demand the elimination of the cats. Detective Bin suffers deeply from the cat disaster both in public and private life. While investigating three bizarre serial murder cases, he discovers that the incidents may involve two major species cooperating in crimes through supernatural means…
As the species at the very bottom of the food chain, how can danger be avoided while recording all of this from the sidelines? And who ultimately has the right to decide whether other species live or die?
The reader’s theatre version of “the Song of Rats” was well received. Returning in 2026 in stage form, reshaping House of Detectives with local creations.
